Aryam : Islamic Modest Fashion
00
problem
The objective was to create an identity embodying the values of Hishma (modesty) and dignity for the modern Muslim woman. The challenge lay in crafting a bespoke Arabic wordmark that reflected unpretentious sophistication and distinct character, moving away from generic fashion branding toward a deeply rooted cultural and spiritual expression.
solution
We engineered a rigorous naming transition: starting from the founder’s name, Khaoula (meaning a doe or gazelle), we moved to the more poetic Reem (the pure white deer) to emphasize purity, and finally evolved into the plural ARYAM. This final transition from singular to plural was a strategic choice to symbolize that modesty is a collective, shared state rather than a solitary journey. The visual system centers on a bespoke Arabic calligraphy wordmark, supported by a palette of Deep Charcoal, Deep Burgundy, Muted Rose Gold, and Pearl White
